The JBL Club A600 is a mono car amplifier designed to power a dedicated subwoofer system. It delivers 350 watts RMS at 4 ohms or 600 watts RMS at 2 ohms, providing a focused low-frequency upgrade for systems that need more bass output. Its compact, low-profile form helps make installation practical where vehicle space is limited.

This amplifier is suited to drivers building a subwoofer system around either an aftermarket receiver or a factory radio. It accepts both low-level preamp and speaker-level input signals, allowing it to work with a broad range of source units. Bare wire-to-RCA adapters are included for speaker-level signal connections.

The Club A600 uses Class D amplifier technology for high-output mono subwoofer amplification with efficient current use. Balanced Differential Inputs are designed to help reduce noise and distortion, including susceptibility to radiated engine noise. The result is a controlled bass foundation that can be tuned to complement the vehicle's full-range speakers.

Onboard controls allow the amplifier to be adjusted for the subwoofer and enclosure being used. The variable low-pass filter operates from 32 to 320 Hz with a 12 dB-per-octave slope, while bass boost is adjustable from 0 to 12 dB at 45 Hz. A selectable 0- or 180-degree phase setting can help integrate bass response with the rest of the system.

The included wired remote bass control module gives the driver a convenient way to adjust bass level from the seat. Protection circuitry monitors for short circuits, high temperature, overvoltage, and undervoltage conditions, with an LED indicator for protection status. This makes the Club A600 a straightforward foundation for a single-subwoofer or properly impedance-matched multi-subwoofer installation.

Key Features

  • 600W RMS at 2 Ohms: Supplies substantial mono power for a compatible subwoofer load.
  • Class D Design: Delivers efficient subwoofer amplification in a compact chassis.
  • High- and Low-Level Inputs: Connects with factory or aftermarket car stereos.
  • Variable Low-Pass Filter: Helps match bass output to the rest of the system.
  • Wired Remote Bass Control: Lets the driver adjust bass level conveniently.
  • Protection Circuitry: Monitors electrical and thermal fault conditions during operation.

Design & Installation

The Club A600 has a low-profile, compact chassis intended for installations with limited mounting space. Its control layout includes input-level adjustment, crossover frequency, bass boost, phase, and turn-on mode settings for system configuration. Integrated protection circuitry and a status LED provide operational monitoring for several common fault conditions.

Use 8-gauge power and ground leads as recommended by JBL, and match the connected subwoofer load to the amplifier's rated 2- or 4-ohm power specifications. The amplifier includes two bare wire-to-RCA adapters for speaker-level integration, while power wiring and installation hardware for those connections are not included. Install the remote bass control using its included cable and mounting screws where it can be safely reached from the driver's seat.
