The Rockford Fosgate Power T1000-1BDCP is a mono car amplifier designed to provide dedicated power for a subwoofer system. Its constant-power design delivers 700 watts RMS at 4 ohms and 1,000 watts RMS at either 2 or 1 ohm. This makes it a practical choice for systems where the final subwoofer wiring impedance may vary.

Built for bass-focused installations, the T1000-1BDCP uses a Class-bd amplifier design and a low-pass crossover tailored for subwoofer duty. The adjustable crossover helps blend the subwoofer with front and rear speakers in a complete system. Its 20 Hz to 250 Hz frequency response covers the range commonly used for low-frequency reinforcement.

The amplifier includes Punch EQ, allowing up to +18 dB of adjustment at 45 Hz for users who want to tailor bass emphasis. A selectable 28 Hz infrasonic filter helps limit very low frequencies, which Rockford Fosgate recommends when using vented enclosures. Gain adjustment and a variable low-pass filter provide the core controls needed to set output levels and system integration.

Balanced RCA inputs are designed to support a clean signal connection from a compatible source unit, while RCA pass-thru outputs make it easier to feed another amplifier without another long RCA run. The amplifier also includes power, thermal, and protect status LEDs for at-a-glance operating feedback. Short-circuit and thermal protection circuits help safeguard the amplifier during fault or overheating conditions.

Measuring 13.66 inches long, the T1000-1BDCP is intended for vehicle installations with room for a full-size mono amplifier. It is suited to a subwoofer or subwoofer array wired to a compatible 1-, 2-, or 4-ohm mono load. Proper wiring, an appropriate external fuse, and adequate ventilation are important parts of a reliable installation.

Key Features

  • Constant Power Output: Delivers 700 watts RMS at 4 ohms or 1,000 watts RMS at 2 or 1 ohm.
  • Class-bd Mono Design: Provides dedicated amplification for a subwoofer channel.
  • Variable Low-Pass Crossover: Adjusts from 35 Hz to 250 Hz for subwoofer integration.
  • Punch EQ: Offers adjustable bass boost from 0 to +18 dB at 45 Hz.
  • Selectable Infrasonic Filter: Limits ultra-low frequencies below the usable bass range.
  • RCA Pass-Thru Outputs: Simplifies signal distribution to an additional amplifier.

Design & Installation

The T1000-1BDCP uses a cast-aluminum heatsink to dissipate heat from its internal circuitry. Heavy-duty nickel-plated clamp terminals are used for speaker, power, ground, and remote connections. Power, thermal, and protect indicators are positioned on the amplifier for operational status monitoring.

Rockford Fosgate recommends 4 AWG power and ground wire, with a 150A external fuse installed within 18 inches of the battery on the positive cable. Mount the amplifier securely in a ventilated area and do not install it in the engine compartment. For under-seat installations, allow at least 1 inch of air space around the heatsink; an authorized installer is recommended if wiring or system setup is unfamiliar.
