VOXX PRESTIGE APSRS3Z One-Way Remote Start and Keyless Entry

The Prestige APSRS3Z is a one-way remote start and keyless-entry system for automatic-transmission, fuel-injected vehicles. It lets the driver start the vehicle remotely while also providing lock, unlock, trunk-release, and car-finder functions when those vehicle circuits are properly connected. Its up-to-1,000-foot operating range is designed for everyday convenience when approaching a parked vehicle.

This system is suited to drivers who want a straightforward remote-start upgrade with physical three-button transmitters rather than an app-based controller. Two programmable RF transmitters are included, and the three-channel receiver can store up to four transmitters. The supplied remotes provide lock, unlock, and start/trunk control from a compact keychain format.

The APSRS3Z uses a superheterodyne receiver antenna with an integrated LED and valet/programming switch. Its tach-learning circuit monitors engine speed after installation, helping the remote-start system recognize engine operation. The system supports selectable runtime settings from 5 to 60 minutes, allowing the installer to configure operation for the vehicle and owner’s preferences.

Integrated relays support starter, accessory, ignition 1, ignition 2, and parking-light functions. Additional outputs support features such as factory-alarm bypass, horn honk, trunk release, diesel wait-to-start input, and ground-while-running control. The system also includes positive and negative safety shutdown circuits, including brake and hood-pin inputs.

The APSRS3Z fits well into a professionally installed vehicle-convenience upgrade where keyless entry and remote start are needed in one module. Its DBI data-bus port can work with compatible FlashLogic interface modules for vehicle-specific integration needs. Some vehicles may require additional interfaces, relays, or an immobilizer/transponder bypass module depending on their factory electrical and anti-theft systems.

Design & Installation

The system uses a separate in-cabin control module, external superheterodyne antenna, and a windshield-mounted LED/valet switch assembly. The antenna is designed to be mounted above the vehicle beltline for reception, while the control module is intended for protected placement behind the dashboard. The module is not waterproof and must not be mounted in the engine compartment.

Professional installation is strongly recommended because the system requires connections to ignition, starter, power, ground, parking-light, brake, hood-pin, and tachometer circuits. A hood-pin safety switch must be installed and tested, and tach programming is required for remote-start operation. Confirm vehicle compatibility and any required data, door-lock, or immobilizer interfaces before installation.
