The Memphis MM900.6V is a six-channel marine-grade amplifier designed to power a multi-zone boat or powersports audio system from one compact chassis. It provides dedicated amplification for four full-range speaker channels plus two higher-output channels suited to subwoofers or additional speakers. Its channel layout helps simplify systems that need separate cabin, tower, and bass sections.

At 4 ohms, the amplifier delivers 70 watts RMS to each of four channels and 200 watts RMS to each of two channels. At 2 ohms, output rises to 90 watts RMS x 4 plus 300 watts RMS x 2. This makes it suitable for matching marine speakers and subwoofers that can handle the amplifier's continuous power ratings.

The MM900.6V is built for installations exposed to water and outdoor conditions, with an IPX5 rating, conformal-coated circuitry, sealed signal connectors, and protected top-mounted controls. An extruded aluminum heat sink helps manage heat during operation. It is water resistant, but it should be installed away from excessive direct water contact and must not be submerged.

Flexible filtering supports a range of speaker-system layouts. Variable high-pass and low-pass crossovers allow the installer to direct suitable frequencies to full-range speakers and subwoofers, while the bass boost and infrasonic filter provide additional low-frequency adjustment. An input-mode selector can accommodate front, rear, and subwoofer input arrangements.

For practical system control, the MM900.6V includes signal-sensing auto turn-on, an LED light strip, and a Memphis RG7 remote level controller. The remote is intended to adjust cabin, tower, and subwoofer levels from one location. It is a strong fit for a boat, UTV, or other marine-oriented build requiring six amplified channels and protected connections.

Key Features

  • Six-Channel Layout: Powers four full-range channels plus two higher-output channels.
  • IPX5 Marine Rating: Supports use in water-exposed marine and powersports installations.
  • Variable Crossovers: Helps match frequency ranges to speakers and subwoofers.
  • Signal-Sensing Turn-On: Can activate when an audio signal is detected.
  • Sealed Connections: Sealed signal connectors support element-resistant system wiring.
  • RG7 Remote Control: Provides adjustable cabin, tower, and subwoofer level control.

Design & Installation

The amplifier uses an extruded aluminum heat sink, conformal-coated circuit board, removable power terminal, sealed removable signal connectors, and sealed top-mounted controls. Its single-sided connection layout can help keep wiring organized in tight equipment compartments. The control-panel seal should be properly installed and tightened before use in moisture-prone environments.

Mount the amplifier in a ventilated location that avoids excessive direct water exposure, and do not install it where it can be submerged. Use a 4-gauge amplifier kit, connect marine ground directly to the negative battery terminal, and verify speaker impedance with a meter before wiring. The amplifier requires a minimum 2-ohm stereo load or 4-ohm bridged load; use the input selector and crossover controls to configure the system for front, rear, and subwoofer channels.
