The Memphis MJP822 is an 8-inch MOJO Pro subwoofer built for car audio systems that need substantial bass output in a more traditional-size enclosure. Memphis lists 0.6 cubic feet for a recommended sealed enclosure and 1.0 cubic foot for a recommended ported enclosure. Its 5.6-inch mounting depth and 7.3-inch cutout diameter should be confirmed against the planned enclosure before installation.

The MJP822 combines a rigid paper cone, double-stitched foam surround, progressive spider, and diecast basket. Its 105-ounce double-stacked ferrite motor includes cross-drilled front-plate venting and an aluminum shorting ring. Single-sided compression terminals provide the speaker-wire connection point.

Plan for a 7.3-inch cutout and at least 5.6 inches of mounting depth. A sealed enclosure of 0.6 cubic feet or a ported enclosure of 1.0 cubic foot is listed for this model. Wire the two 2-ohm coils in parallel for a 1-ohm final load or in series for a 4-ohm final load, only when the connected amplifier is rated for that impedance.
