The Rockford Fosgate T2652-S is a 6.5-inch, 2-way component speaker system for vehicle owners upgrading from factory door speakers. Its separate woofers, tweeters, and external crossovers allow more flexible placement than a coaxial speaker setup. The kit is designed for installations where improved detail, controlled midrange output, and adjustable high-frequency presentation are important.

A pair of 6.5-inch woofers handles the midrange and lower-frequency portion of the system, while separate 1-inch aluminum dome tweeters reproduce upper-frequency detail. The system is rated for 100 watts RMS and 200 watts peak power at 4 ohms. Its 55 Hz to 22 kHz frequency response supports use as a front-stage component system in a full-range car audio installation.

The woofer uses an injection-molded carbon-fiber-reinforced polypropylene cone, a VAST SBR surround, and a high-temperature aluminum voice coil. A billet-machined aluminum phase plug is incorporated into the woofer design. These elements are paired with a linear high-excursion motor, magnetic, and suspension design.

The included external crossover network divides frequencies at 3 kHz using an asymmetrical Butterworth design. It uses an 18 dB-per-octave high-pass section and a 12 dB-per-octave low-pass section. Tweeter output can be adjusted through selectable attenuation settings, while the axis switch helps accommodate on-axis or off-axis tweeter placement.

The T2652-S can be connected in standard full-range amplifier mode or configured for bi-amplification with dedicated woofer and tweeter amplifier channels. Its FlexFit basket uses slotted mounting locations to assist with aligning the woofer in compatible openings. Included adapter plates, grilles, crossover networks, and multiple tweeter mounting options support a more complete installation package.

The T2652-S combines carbon-fiber-reinforced polypropylene woofer cones with VAST SBR surrounds, high-temperature aluminum woofer voice coils, and StampCast frame construction. The woofer also uses a billet-machined aluminum phase plug, while the tweeters use aluminum domes with integral suspension. External crossovers use poly-capacitors and air-core inductors, and the package includes both polished and brushed aluminum tweeter trim rings.

Confirm available mounting depth, cutout diameter, and window or door-panel clearance before installation. The woofer requires a 5.59-inch mounting diameter and 2.51-inch mounting depth, while the flush tweeter mount uses a 1.75-inch opening. Use the included crossover network, maintain speaker polarity, and select standard or bi-amp wiring according to the amplifier configuration.
