VOXX PRESTIGE APS45C 1-Way 4-Button Keyless Entry System

The Prestige APS45C is a 1-way remote keyless entry system designed to add RF-operated lock and unlock control to compatible vehicles. It is intended for vehicles with 12-volt negative-ground electrical systems and uses built-in door-lock relays to integrate with the vehicle’s power-lock circuits. Two four-button remotes are included for everyday access control.

This system is suited to drivers adding keyless convenience to a vehicle or replacing an older remote-entry setup. A stated operating range of up to 500 feet gives the remotes useful day-to-day coverage, while parking-light confirmation and an LED status indicator provide visual feedback. Remote panic is also available through the transmitter.

The APS45C is an access-control product rather than an audio component, so its performance is centered on dependable remote command functions instead of sound reproduction. Its four-channel code-learning receiver supports lock, unlock, and two auxiliary control channels. The included 91P transmitters operate at 434 MHz with AM modulation.

Built-in relays handle primary door-lock and door-unlock control, and the system can be programmed for ignition-controlled locking and unlocking. The horn output can be configured for a vehicle horn or an optional siren, while selectable chirp confirmation can be turned on or off. A valet/program/manual override switch is included for system setup and valet use.

For expanded vehicle convenience, the APS45C provides two low-current auxiliary outputs for compatible relay-controlled accessories. Channel 2 can support functions such as trunk release or window control, while Channel 3 can be used with compatible accessories such as window control, a garage-door interface, or a remote-start interface. Optional functions require appropriate vehicle-specific wiring, relays, and accessories.

Design & Installation

The APS45C kit centers on a compact under-dash control module with an on-board antenna, integrated parking-light relay, and on-board door-lock relays. It includes plug-in harnesses, a red LED status indicator, and a valet/program/manual override switch. The control module is not waterproof and is specified for protected under-dash installation rather than engine-compartment mounting.

Installation requires connection to constant power, chassis ground, ignition, parking-light, door-lock, and applicable door-trigger circuits. The system supports different vehicle lock configurations, but some applications and all higher-current accessory functions require external relays. Mount the module securely behind the dash and route wiring away from hot or moving components, particularly the steering column and pedals.
