Open-water listening brings wind, engine noise, and little acoustic reinforcement, so these speakers are tuned for outdoor use. The JBLMARSPKST6GRYAM uses a one-piece polymer basket, sealed polypropylene cone, rubber surround, weather-resistant balanced dome tweeter, and UV-resistant gray grille. Its grille-mounted tweeter is positioned above the woofer cone, helping reduce the path for water intrusion. The speaker is specified for IPX5-rated marine use and is intended for exposed boat-audio locations.

Confirm a 5-1/32-inch mounting cutout and at least 2-3/4 inches of mounting depth before installation; the outside diameter is 7-5/64 inches. The package includes a foam gasket, stainless-steel mounting hardware, a drill bit, and two pigtail harnesses. Connect each speaker to a compatible 4-ohm marine receiver or amplifier, observe polarity, and use the included gasket when mounting to help create a proper seal.
