Gravity VGR-M101CP 10.1" Single DIN Wireless CarPlay Receiver

The Gravity VGR-M101CP is a single-DIN digital media receiver designed to add a large 10.1-inch touchscreen to vehicles with a standard 1-DIN radio opening. Its floating-display format gives drivers a larger viewing area than a conventional single-DIN receiver while retaining a compact chassis. It is suited to upgrades where phone-based navigation, calling and streaming are priorities.

Wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto bring compatible smartphone navigation, music, calls and messaging functions to the receiver's display. Bluetooth with A2DP adds hands-free calling and wireless music playback, using the integrated microphone or an optional microphone connected to the microphone jack. CML-Play MirrorLink is also included for compatible phone screen mirroring.

The VGR-M101CP uses a built-in four-channel amplifier rated at 4 x 60 watts maximum, or 240 watts maximum system power. Integrated DSP controls include bass, treble, balance, fader, loudness and mute functions, along with Pop, Rock, Classic and Jazz EQ presets. This gives users straightforward control over system tone and speaker balance from the receiver.

For media playback, the receiver supports USB, SD and MMC storage devices up to 64GB and displays compatible ID3 tag information. It supports common audio, image and video file formats, including MP3, WMA, WAV, JPEG, PNG, AVI, MP4, MKV and MOV. The 1024 x 600 capacitive touchscreen supports video playback up to 1080P.

The receiver can serve as the central control point for a broader vehicle audio and camera upgrade. It includes an AHD rear-camera input, steering-wheel-control input, subwoofer output, two-channel RCA audio output, two-channel video output and AUX input. A PLL AM/FM tuner with 40 memories provides traditional radio reception alongside digital media functions.

Design & Installation

The VGR-M101CP combines a compact single-DIN chassis with a 10.1-inch floating touchscreen and physical front-panel controls for power, home, back and volume. Its chassis uses a finned heat-management design for operating heat control. The front panel also includes a microphone and reset control, while RGB auto-changing button illumination adds visible control lighting.

Installation uses the included ISO wiring harness and single-DIN mounting sleeve. Vehicle-specific mounting hardware, wiring adapters, antenna adapters, steering-wheel-control interfaces, cameras and external amplifiers may be needed depending on the vehicle and planned system. The receiver's AHD camera input, subwoofer output and RCA connections make it practical for systems that will be expanded beyond factory speakers.
