Audison SR5-600 5-Channel Class D Car Amplifier

The Audison SR5-600 is a five-channel Class D car amplifier designed to power front and rear speakers plus a subwoofer from one compact chassis. It provides a practical upgrade path for systems that need clearer speaker output and dedicated bass amplification without adding separate amplifiers. It can be configured for five-channel operation or selected for three-channel use.

At 4 ohms, the SR5-600 supplies 75 watts RMS to each of four full-range channels and 330 watts RMS to its subwoofer channel. At 2 ohms, output increases to 115 watts RMS x 4 plus 550 watts RMS x 1. This makes it suitable for matching appropriately rated door speakers with a dedicated subwoofer in a single-amplifier system.

Audison uses ADT, its Class D amplifier technology, to combine efficient power delivery with a compact form factor. The amplifier has a stated 105 dBA A-weighted signal-to-noise ratio and 0.02% THD at 1 kHz, 4 ohms, and 70% rated power. Its front/rear bandwidth is rated from 10 Hz to 35 kHz, while the subwoofer channel is rated from 10 Hz to 500 Hz.

Integration flexibility is a central part of the SR5-600 design. It accepts RCA preamp inputs for aftermarket receivers as well as balanced speaker-level inputs for factory systems. Built-in USS technology is intended to support OEM sources with speaker-load detection, while selectable ART automatic turn-on can activate the amplifier from compatible speaker-level signals.

The onboard crossover section helps tailor the amplifier to a conventional front/rear/sub system, an active speaker arrangement, or a three-channel layout. Front and rear high-pass filtering, band-pass capability on the rear channels, a 24 dB/octave subwoofer low-pass filter, bass boost, and a switchable subsonic filter are included. An optional Audison VCR-S2 remote control can adjust subwoofer level from the cabin.
