The Audison APBMW K4E is a 4-inch, two-way component speaker kit engineered for select BMW and MINI vehicles with factory two-way audio systems. It combines a 100 mm midrange driver, a separate 29 mm tweeter, and a dedicated crossover network. The kit is designed around BMW-MINI compatible mounting and Plug & Play connections.
This system is intended for owners replacing factory front mid-high speakers while retaining an OEM-style installation approach. Its LargeBasket configuration uses an aluminum die-cast basket designed for compatible BMW-MINI mounting locations. Vehicle-specific fitment should be verified before purchase.
The 100 mm midrange uses a water-repellent pressed-paper cone for natural midrange reproduction. Its 90 Hz resonance frequency supports high-pass filtering in the 150-200 Hz range when used in an appropriately configured system. The published system frequency response is 90 Hz to 23 kHz.
A 29 mm Tetolon tweeter handles the upper-frequency range and uses a 25 mm voice coil. Its off-axis dispersion characteristics were optimized using FEM simulations, helping suit OEM tweeter positions that are not directly aimed at the listener. The supplied crossover provides a 6 kHz high-pass section at 6 dB per octave.
With 50 W continuous and 100 W peak power handling at 4 ohms, the APBMW K4E can be used as part of a factory-speaker replacement or a more extensive BMW-MINI audio upgrade. Plug & Play connectors, a supplied tweeter support, and a 30 cm extension cable simplify integration with compatible factory locations. It can also be paired with compatible Audison BMW underseat subwoofer solutions when a broader system upgrade is planned.

The APBMW K4E midrange uses an aluminum die-cast basket, neodymium magnetic group, 25 mm fiberglass voice coil, and removable damping motor cover. Its water-repellent pressed-paper cone is paired with a 29 mm Tetolon tweeter using a 25 mm voice coil. The crossover uses high-quality components and Plug & Play connections.
This kit is intended for select BMW-MINI vehicles equipped with factory two-way systems and compatible large-basket mounting locations. A tweeter support and 30 cm Plug & Play extension are supplied to assist installation in OEM placements. Confirm vehicle fitment, mounting configuration, and amplifier or factory-system compatibility before installation; some BMW models with non-standard fixings may require the separately available APBMW A4E adapter kit.
