The Audison AP 2 MV is a compact 2-inch wide-range speaker designed for OEM dashboard and A-pillar locations. It is intended to reproduce both midrange and high-frequency content from a single small driver, helping move the front soundstage higher in the vehicle. This makes it a practical solution for vehicles with limited factory speaker space.

Rather than functioning as a conventional tweeter alone, the AP 2 MV covers a broad 150 Hz to 20 kHz operating range. Its wide-band capability can reduce the need for a crossover point between separate midrange and tweeter drivers in the upper-frequency range. The result is suited to installations seeking coherent vocals, instruments, and high-frequency detail from a compact OEM-style location.

The AP 2 MV uses a 25 mm CCAW double-layer voice coil to support its 25 W continuous and 50 W peak power ratings. Its low 145 Hz resonance frequency is notable for a 50 mm driver and supports integration with a door woofer at an appropriate crossover point. With a 4-ohm nominal impedance, it is designed for use in compatible factory-replacement and aftermarket audio systems.

An aluminum cone and copper shorting ring are used to support extended high-frequency response and impedance control. The compact motor incorporates a symmetrical double-neodymium magnetic assembly for controlled excursion in a shallow package. These engineering details allow the driver to fit where a larger midrange speaker may not be practical.

Audison includes a multi-tab OEM adapter intended to support direct replacement in many General Motors, Toyota, and Mercedes applications. The AP 2 MV can also be used as a midrange in a three-way system, or as a surround or center-channel speaker where space is restricted. Confirm the factory opening, mounting depth, wiring connection, and system crossover settings before installation.

The AP 2 MV combines an aluminum cone, copper shorting ring, 25 mm CCAW double-layer voice coil, and neodymium magnetic motor in a compact basket. Its symmetrical double-neodymium magnet assembly is designed for excursion control while preserving the shallow dimensions needed for OEM-oriented installations. Each component weighs 0.15 kg.

Use the supplied multi-tab adapter only after confirming its fit with the specific vehicle and factory speaker location. The speaker is suited to 50 mm OEM dash or A-pillar positions, and may also be used as a three-way midrange, surround speaker, or center-channel driver. Match it to a compatible 4-ohm audio channel and configure crossover settings appropriate to the rest of the system.
