The Audiotek AT-3500S is a 2-channel car amplifier designed to add dedicated amplification to a vehicle audio system. It is intended for powering a pair of speakers or supporting a compatible subwoofer setup through stereo or bridged operation. With 2-ohm-stable stereo operation, it gives installers flexibility when matching compatible speaker loads.

This amplifier is suited to listeners upgrading beyond head-unit power and seeking adjustable control over low-frequency output. Its Class A-B design and full-range capability allow it to be used in systems focused on amplified speakers, bass reinforcement, or a combination of both. The selectable operating modes and adjustable controls help tailor the amplifier to the role it serves in the system.

The AT-3500S is rated for up to 3500 watts maximum output. A continuously variable low-pass crossover provides a 35 Hz to 160 Hz adjustment range for subwoofer-oriented setups, while the bass boost control offers adjustment from 0 to +18 dB. An included remote bass knob provides a convenient way to adjust bass level from the listening position.

Its power section uses a MOSFET pulse-width-modulated power supply, and the amplifier includes soft turn-on operation. Nickel-plated RCA inputs and speaker-level inputs support connection to source units with either low-level preamp outputs or speaker-level outputs. The amplifier also uses a remote turn-on/turn-off circuit for integration with a vehicle audio system.

For protection during operation, the AT-3500S includes thermal and speaker-short protection circuitry, along with power and protection LED indicators. Its heavy-duty aluminum-alloy heatsink is designed to help dissipate heat during use. This makes it a practical component for a properly wired, ventilated aftermarket audio installation.

Key Features

  • 2-Channel Design: Supports stereo speaker systems or a bridged mono configuration.
  • 2-Ohm Stable Operation: Accommodates compatible low-impedance stereo speaker loads.
  • 3500W Maximum Output: Provides a stated maximum-power rating for system planning.
  • Variable Low-Pass Crossover: Adjusts the low-pass point from 35 Hz to 160 Hz.
  • Remote Bass Knob: Lets the listener adjust bass level from the cabin.
  • Protection Circuitry: Helps protect against thermal and speaker-short fault conditions.

Design & Installation

The AT-3500S uses a heavy-duty aluminum-alloy heatsink and a surface-mount amplifier format. Nickel-plated RCA connections are provided alongside speaker-level input capability. Power and protection LEDs provide at-a-glance operating-status feedback.

Install the amplifier on a secure surface with adequate airflow and keep it away from moisture and excessive heat. It requires connection to a 12V vehicle electrical system, including battery, ground, remote turn-on, input, and speaker wiring. Use stereo wiring with loads of 2 ohms or higher per channel, or use a 4-ohm-or-higher load when operating the amplifier bridged.
