Design & Installation

The RFTS1 combines solid brass construction with a platinum finish and HPP plating. Its ring shape supports a mechanical connection secured by a nut or bolt, while the included black and red protective boots provide polarity identification. The compact terminal format is designed specifically for large-gauge automotive wiring terminations.

Strip the cable to the depth required by the terminal barrel, insert 1/0 AWG cable fully, and use an appropriate large-gauge crimping tool. Slide the applicable protective boot onto the cable before crimping, then fasten the ring to an 8.15 mm or approximately 5/16-inch stud connection. Confirm that the connection is clean, tight, protected from short circuits, and used with correctly sized system fusing where required.
