KENWOOD KCA-R110 Full HD Rear Dash Camera

The KENWOOD KCA-R110 is an optional rear-view recording camera designed to add rear coverage to compatible KENWOOD dash cam systems. It connects to a compatible front dash cam to capture video behind the vehicle while the front camera records ahead. It is intended for drivers who want added documentation of traffic, cargo-area activity, or events occurring behind their car, truck, or RV.

This compact camera records Full HD 1920 x 1080 video at 30 frames per second. Its 131.6° diagonal field of view provides broad rearward coverage, while the F2.0 fixed-focus lens is designed for continuous in-vehicle recording. HDR is included to support more balanced image capture in scenes with challenging light contrast.

The KCA-R110 uses a 1/2.9-inch Galaxy Core GC2093 image sensor with 2 million recording pixels. It records H.264 video in MP4 format and supports invert or mirror image reversal for different mounting orientations. The camera is a recording accessory for a dash cam system, rather than a stand-alone parking-display camera.

An IP67-rated camera housing supports installation inside or outside the vehicle. The camera is sealed against dust and is rated for temporary water immersion, making it suitable for rear-window, exterior, truck, and RV applications when installed appropriately. Its adjustable mounting hardware helps position the lens for sloped, vertical, or flat mounting surfaces.

The included 26-foot, 3-inch rear-camera cable provides room to route the connection from the front dash cam to the rear of many vehicles. The KCA-R110 is compatible with KENWOOD DRV-A310W and DRV-A510W dash cams for simultaneous front-and-rear recording. Motion-detection and parking-recording functions are features of the compatible dash cam system and require the optional KENWOOD CA-DR1130 hardwire kit where supported.

Design & Installation

The KCA-R110 combines a compact camera body with an F2.0 fixed-focus lens, an IP67-rated housing, and noise protection. The camera supports image inversion and mirroring to accommodate different installation orientations. Included adhesive and screw-mount hardware, plus a double-joint bracket, provide options for interior or exterior placement.

Connect the supplied rear-camera cable to the CAM IN port on a compatible KENWOOD front dash cam, then route the cable safely to the selected rear mounting position. KENWOOD recommends avoiding driver-visibility obstructions, airbags, rear defroster lines, and other items that can affect the field of view. For exterior installation or wiring near vehicle airbags, professional installation is recommended.
